Vis Skateboard Project

I got the opportunity to live abroad in Croatia for a semester because of my Dads sabbatical. Our project was to build a skatepark for the local kids who don’t have places to play/hangout especially in the offseason. To do this we had to gather materials and ship them over the ferry, enlist the help of locals and make friends with the local kids, eventually teaching them how to skateboard. It was such a cool experience to not only build all of the features but to see kids from such a different background bond with me and others over skateboarding. See pictures below to look at the park and the process of building it.
